| CTE’s technology transfer program
uses a broad network of print, satellite, and Web broadcasting technologies
to facilitate enhanced communication and collaboration among transportation
and environmental professionals. CTE helps professionals interact
with the people, policies, research innovations, and best practices
that are currently improving the ways environmental concerns are
addressed in transportation plans, programs, and projects.
- National Broadcast Series
These live satellite and web broadcasts engage transportation
and environmental professionals in a dialogue about policy issues,
research innovations, and best practices.
- Conferences and Workshops
CTE serves as co-sponsor or lead organizer for numerous events
designed to showcase research innovations as well as to promote
inter-agency collaboration.
- NC Environmental Roundtables
The NC Environmental Roundtables provide a forum for transportation
and environmental decision makers and practitioners, as well as
representatives from other stakeholder organizations, to discuss
emerging or critical issues that require strong inter-agency coordination.
- Distinguished Lecture Series
The lectures showcase the groundbreaking work of nationally-recognized
research and policy experts, and help to stimulate new opportunities
for research in North Carolina.
- Special Projects
From documenting the results of U.S. scan tours….to
producing videos of exemplary programs and projects, CTE special
projects facilitate enhanced information exchange.
- Searchable Databases
CTE hosts two keyword-searchable online research databases.
The Wildlife, Fisheries, and Transportation (WFT) Research Database
contains bibliographic data on research from several published
databases to which CTE subscribes as well as from the proceedings
of the International Conference on Ecology and Transportation.
