This edition features:

  1. MACT Update
  2. Innovative project being conducted at a municipal solid waste landfill
  3. EPA's residual risk program with insights into coke oven residual risk decision
  4. State of Maine's air toxics program
  5. Mercury deposition study that was conducted in the Florda Everglades

Program description:

This broadcast of the on-air news magazine, Air Toxics Now, will feature reports on an innovative project being conducted at a municipal solid waste landfill; an overview of EPA's residual risk program with insights into the coke oven residual risk decision; and a look at the State of Maine's air toxics program.

In addition, the broadcast will feature an update on a previously reported story involving a mercury deposition study that was conducted in the Florida Everglades.

The broadcast will also feature a story that looks at a recent activity of EPA Region V to address the results of emission tests at ethanol facilities that show much higher emissions than previously reported.

And finally, the March broadcast will give updates on recently published Federal Notices on MACT related subjects and take an in depth look at one of the recently published MACT standards affecting surface coating of wood building products.

Target audience:

This broadcast is developed especially for State, local and Tribal air toxics personnel to support implementation of air toxic reduction programs.
