The EPA's quarterly news program to support implementation of the Air Toxics Program Play Video

This edition features:

  1. MACT Update
  2. An overview of EPA's Clean Air Excellence Awards
  3. A new initiative by OAQPS to voluntarily achieve air toxic emission reductions for area sources in urban areas.
  4. One state agency in pilot testing the Regional Air Implact Modeling Initiative modeling methodology by conducting a multi-pollutant, multi-source risk assessment for a local community.

Program description:

This broadcast of the on-air news magazine, Air Toxics Now, will feature reports on an overview of EPA's Clean Air Excellence Awards with a close-up examination of two of the winning entries, and a look at a new initiative by OAQPS to voluntarily achieve air toxic emission reductions from area sources in urban areas.

In addition, the broadcast will feature the efforts of one State agency in pilot testing the Regional Air Impact Modeling Initiative (RAIMI) modeling methodology by conducting a multi-pollutant, multi-source risk assessment for a local community.

And finally, the July broadcast will give updates on recently published Federal Notices on MACT related subjects and take an in depth look at one of the recently published MACT standards affecting Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional Boilers and Process Heaters.

Target audience:

This broadcast is developed especially for State, local and Tribal air toxics personnel to support implementation of air toxic reduction programs.
