Program description: The Air Toxics Now broadcast will feature the Institute of Tribal Environmental Professionals who assist Tribal organizations in developing air quality programs. It will examine EPA's approval of the State of New Hampshire to enforce State permit terms in lieu of the MACT standard for a pulp mill. As part of EPA's Project XL, the last report will explore a new innovative pollution prevention technique that is being implemented at a pulp mill in Virginia. Other features will include a stack test for mercury emissions and an interview with Sally Shaver, Director of the Emission Standards Division, who will discuss where the air toxics program is headed in 2002.
A number of MACT related stories will also be featured in this broadcast, including an overview of recent activities with the Surface Coating MACT standards, and an update on which MACT source categories will be subject to the upcoming MACT Hammer deadline. Updates on recently published Federal Notices on MACT related subjects will also be addressed.
